Congratulations to SEPTA

Congratulations to SEPTA and local and county officials for their collaboration to complete the extension of regional rail service from Elwyn Station to the new Wawa Station at 1490 W Baltimore Pike. Passenger rail service will begin Sunday August 21 offering 19 inbound and 21 outbound trains with connections to SEPTA bus routes 111 and 114. The $178 million dollar, four-year project includes track and crossing improvements, a railyard at Lenni Road, and a new station with a 600 car parking garage. A planned connection to the Chester Creek Trail will also be completed in the near future. For more info go to www.septa.org.
