West Chester Fire Department Looking for Volunteers

WCFD Volunteers

The remnants of Hurricane Ida kept The West Chester Fire Department extremely busy providing service to the community.  We remind you to never drive through a flooded roadway.  It is easy to misjudge the power of water.  Don't put yourself and First Responders at risk!  The department responded to multiple water rescues in the borough due to the storm.

The West Chester Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire department that provides service to West Chester Borough.  If you have ever considered giving back to your community there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at one of The West Chester Fire Departments three locations. We are looking for members who are 14 and older, NO EXPERIENCE necessary.

In March, the department placed into service two new Fire Engines.  Both Engines were built by Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. in Wisconsin and feature Hale Q-Max 2250 gpm pumps with 750 Gallon Water Tanks.  We look forward to these apparatus serving the community for many years to come.
