WEST CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M. TO ADOPT THE 2020 BUDGET.
THE PROPOSED BUDGET IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE AND FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION AT THE OFFICE OF THE BOROUGH MANAGER, 401 EAST GAY STREET; WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS.
ANY PERSON WHO WISHES TO ATTEND THE HEARING WHO HAS A DISABILITY AND/OR REQUIRES AN AUXILIARY AID, SERVICE, OR OTHER ACCOMMODATION TO OBSERVE OR PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCEEDINGS SHOULD CONTACT THE BOROUGH MANAGER’S OFFICE AT 610-344-3246 TO DISCUSS HOW THOSE NEEDS MAY BE ACCOMMODATED.
West Chester Borough Council is accepting applications for volunteer positions for the following :

W. Washington Street – (New to High) - 11/20 Weaver and Corcoran Alley – 11/20 S. Church Street – (Miner to Union) –11/20 Courthouse Alley – (New to Darlington) – 11/20
S. New Street – (Market to Miner) – 11/20 Wollerton Street – (Darlington to New) – 11/20 W. Union Street – (High to Church) – 11/21 S. Brandywine Street – (Union to Nields) – 11/21 Wilmont Mews (Miner to Barnard) – 11/21 To facilitate the paving, it will be necessary to restrict parking within the limit of work between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM. All cars must be removed from the streets between 7 AM and 5 PM, but may be parked there overnight if they are removed by 7 AM the following morning. We will make every effort to maintain access to your property. There may be times during the work that access will be limited. If you have specific issues, feel free to contact us. Please note that rain and temperatures may impact the schedule. The latest updates are posted on the West Chester Borough’s website and Facebook. If you have any questions or concerns before or during the construction, feel free to contact the West Chester Borough Deputy Director of Public Works, Michael Taggart, at 484-887-2757.
Due to the weather, the paving project has been delayed. We apologize for the inconvenience. The road adjacent to your property will be milled this week according to the following schedule:
NOTE: Beginning October 7, 2019, property owners found in violation of any provision of Chapter 62 will immediately receive a notice of violation, delivered to the property, similar to a parking ticket. This notice of violation will advise of the specifics of the violation and order the property owner to pay the fines below, payable to the Borough of West Chester, within seven (7) days.
Failure to pay the fine within seven (7) days will result in a non-traffic citation filed with the District Court, which carries a possible fine of not less than $50 and not more than $1000 plus court costs.

2nd offense - $50
3rd offense - $100
