  1. High Street Corridor Event


    This study will identify future improvements for High Street for the benefit of motorists, pedestrians, and all other users.   This meeting will be an open house format where the public is invited to drop-in and give feedback on a series of boards/posters.  The lead planner from Traffic Planning and Design will give a brief presentation on the project at 6:30 pm and will be available for questions after the presentation.


  2. BOROUGH COUNCIL ELECTS PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT

    Mr. Michael Galey was elected as the 2020-2021 Borough Council President, and Mr. Don Braceland was elected as Borough Council Vice President at the January 6, 2020, Borough Council Reorganization Meeting.

    President Galey has set up the six Council committees for this coming year.   Below is a list of each committee and the committee members.

  6.              NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2020 BUDGET

    WEST CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M. TO ADOPT THE 2020 BUDGET. 

    THE PROPOSED BUDGET IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE AND FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION AT THE OFFICE OF THE BOROUGH MANAGER, 401 EAST GAY STREET; WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. 

    ANY PERSON WHO WISHES TO ATTEND THE HEARING WHO HAS A DISABILITY AND/OR REQUIRES AN AUXILIARY AID, SERVICE, OR OTHER ACCOMMODATION TO OBSERVE OR PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCEEDINGS SHOULD CONTACT THE BOROUGH MANAGER’S OFFICE AT 610-344-3246 TO DISCUSS HOW THOSE NEEDS MAY BE ACCOMMODATED.

  7. Electric Vehicle - Charging Rate



    Effectively immediately Borough-owned EV charging stations will cost $.50 per hour (roughly $.075/kWh) in addition to any relevant parking fees. Borough Council voted to adopt the revenue-neutral charging fee in November in order to cover the growing costs of the Borough’s EV charging infrastructure, including the new dual-port charger at Bicentennial Garage. Vehicles parked in designated EV spots must be plugged in at all times – please move your vehicle when charging is completed.
