Student-Community Connect aims to connect West Chester Area School District high school and West Chester University students with Borough residents in need of these outdoor services.
The Mayor's Office has created a database of West Chester students who are able and available to perform the above-mentioned outdoor yard work. Our database provides contact information including name, address, availability, type of outdoor work they are willing to do and their expected rate of pay to residents who request it. Residents are able to receive the list by mail or email and will then be responsible for contacting the student and conducting financial and scheduling arrangements.
The application requires a parent or legal guardian's signature for those under eighteen years of age.
The intent of this program is to assist residents who are unable to do physical work themselves, unable to afford the cost of a professional contractor on a regular basis or only would require assistance on an as needed basis.
