The department of information technology services is responsible for the maintenance, management and visioning of all technology services for all departments in the Borough of West Chester. This includes help desk services, network maintenance, telecommunication services, social media services, software services, application & data services.
Network security, connectivity and performance management.
Wireless services for all departments.
Purchasing and invoicing for all technology related services for all departments.
Recording services for public meetings.
Help Desk support for all staff & elected officials.
Manages and maintains the Borough of West Chester website and all mobile services.
Social media initiatives (facebook & twitter) for the organization.
Radio services for the police department, public works and parks and recreation.
Short term and long term visioning of the organization's use of technology services.
Project management relating to technology related initiatives.
MOVING OUR NETWORK
During the last quarter of 2017 our Information Technology Department moved our network infrastructure from 401 East Gay Street to 829 Paoli Pike (pictured below).
Throughout 2018 we continue to build and design a new network for the refurbished municipal building as well as installing new audio, video & recording solutions.
OUR TEMPORARY HOME
When we moved into our temporary home the Information Technology Department relocated and setup our network. Special thanks to the technology team at the West Chester School District for helping us along the way.
