It shall be the mission of the Public Arts Commission to provide guidance, advocacy, and leadership to support the reach and impact of public art. The Commission shall promote the arts, culture, and creative identity of the Borough of West Chester, and is intended to assess and evaluate the merits of applications for the creation of public art, while advising the Borough Council on the same.

Exciting News! Deadline for Best Flag Forward Contest Extended to December 7! (Winner to be Announced Early 2019!)
The Fence Authority and the West Chester Public Arts Commission (PAC) have teamed up to issue the “Best Flag Forward Contest” in search of designs for an official West Chester borough flag. The call for art opens Thursday, September 20th and runs through Friday, November 2nd. The deadline has been extended to december 7.
The winning design will become the official symbol for West Chester and its signature image.
On the May 2nd, 2018 WCHE 1520 AM Art Watch Radio Show, Public Arts Commission members John Baker and Jimmer Breen along with Borough Council President, Diane LeBold talked about all of the great things the Public Arts Commission is up to.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the Lamp Post Banner Project a rousing success! The response to the Call for Art was incredible, and we are all very excited about the wonderful works of art to be installed downtown this Summer.
