Chief Pelna was sworn in as Fire Chief of the West Chester Fire Department on January 1, 2021.
The Office of Fire Chief rotates between the three volunteer fire companies that make up the West Chester Fire Department every three years. Prior to Chief Pelna holding the position of Fire Chief, he served as Assistant Chief, Captain and Lieutenant of the First West Chester Fire Company.
